Programs

Omaha Rowing Association seeks to spread a love of rowing in our community focused programs. Whether you want to learn a new skill, build a more fit you, make some friends, or improve your technique, we have something for you!

 

Juniors:

Youth ages 12-18 that have not started college. This is the fastest growing part of our club. Each Junior rower has an opportunity to learn it all; coxing, stroke, bow, sweep, & scull. Our focus and goal is to develop & encourage the love of the sport of rowing and to have fun while learning proper technique! Juniors will have the opportunity to race at regattas a few times per year. Summer 2024 Season Begins: June 2nd, 2024 at the Juniors Learn to Row Event from 9am-12pm. This groups practices every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6pm. First day of training will be ON THE WATER on Tues. June 6th. Fee: $100 per month (cash, check or venmo)

Adult Recreation:

Adults ages 18 - 99+. This team meets once per week to row. It is a fun group for those new to the sport or back from an extended break. The focus is to develop and foster proper technique and to build relationships within the community. If you are brand new to the sport of rowing, you must attend a Learn to Row session or take a private lesson prior to attending. This group also has the option to participate in regattas. Summer 2024 Season Begins: June 1 2024 at the Adult Learn to Row Event from 9am-12pm. Our first day of training will be ON THE WATER on Tuesday. June 4th. This group practices every Tuesday evening at 6pm. Fee: $160 per 8 week session. (cash, check or venmo)

Masters:

Rowers with experience.  This group rows competitively but also has many seasoned rowers and scullers that participate without competing. Adult recreation rowers who have gained enough skills can move into this experienced group. Session 1:  Sprint Racing Season June 3rd- August 15th) Session 2:   Head Racing Season: August 16- November 5th. This group practices Monday & Wednesday evenings at 6pm. Fee is $200 per session. (cash, check or venmo)


Learn to Row:

LTR is a 3 hour rowing education event. This includes two hours of dry-land training and one hour of training on the water. This is an opportunity to experience rowing first hand, and is required for all those brand new to the sport. Those taking private lessons may have this requirement waived. Future rowers age 12 to 99+ are welcome, it is never too early or too late to take up the sport! Click here for more information!

We currently offer private lessons by request and based on coach availability - pricing and timing is coordinated when you contact us for details!
